UPDATE: More Violence Initiated by McCain/Palin

UPDATE: Snipped from HuffingtonPost.com.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you long ago. A woman just got punched in the face by a man that was “ranting about ACORN.” Wow, just wow!
Snipped from RightWingWatch.org.
More vitriol spilling over from McCain’s fear mongering rhetoric. Why McCain is not being held partially accountable for the verbal assaults and threats of harm to Obama, and his real or imagined associates is beyond me. I may have a biased perspective, but I don’t think the alleged abuse that McCain takes from the left is anything like this coming from the right.
ACORN, “the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is a community-based organization that advocates for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, health care and other social issues,” [1] is now receiving all kinds of threats and violent rhetoric coming from extreme right wing citizens. This is from the alleged voter fraud voter registration fraud that has come to light. If you are in the dark about this, it is from young people trying to make money by signing up as many people as possible, so they fake a registration for Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny. They have also registered dead people as well. What the right-wing party is afraid of is how these fictitious characters (or dead people) are going to vote for Obama.

“Colin Powell endorses Barack Obama”

Snipped from AP.org.
Well, I have to say … about damn time. Although the timing is quite good, I was starting to doubt whether this would happen or not. Now that it has happened, I couldn’t be more thrilled. On Meet the Press, Colin Powell not only endorsed Barack Obama as an exceptional, transformational leader, but also criticized McCain and Palin for many things.

Americanism: An Oppressive Ideology

In this isolated country, fear and demonization is king.
Over the years, I have often wondered what happened to the country I was taught to admire and love. Even since the war started in Iraq, I have become acutely aware of our political stance domestically and internationally. I am becoming more and more saddened by the state of our nation’s collective perspective on not only our own citizens, but the foreign brethren around us. This saddness was amplified when trying to have any kind of civil discourse with a small, but prominent group of people.
These people where amazingly detached from any kind of objectivity or rational reality. Everything to them was black and white, us and them, good and evil, “with us” or “against us.” I, being the advocate for a true democracy, tried to assist in revealing the nature of reality, and its dynamics. And with every, might I add civil, attempt, I was attacked, demonized and marginalized. It was amazing how even something as simple as disagreeing with how our country handles its contribution to global warming, I was painted as anti-American or unpatriotic.

Save the Economy — Provide Jobs!

We need the jobs back!
Wall Street and the fat-cat bankers are coming up smelling like roses lately; the Fed Government has bought in for stock shares as the bankers’ new partners. How? With Zillions of taxpayers’ I.O.U. money that will have to come from new taxes or public programs cuts next year, even benefits cuts of vital state services like the police and firemen for many years down the line. Oh yeah, don’t forget the additional I.O.U. money needed for the next mega buyout to save the credit card tycoons. It’s coming.

Lobbyists and Our Economic Woes
Government regulations? Who needs regulating? Wall street and off-Wall Street bankers and mortgage companies? Sure. What about more government regulations on lobbyists? Whoops! Can Congress bite the hand that feeds them? What role have lobbyists played and are still playing with the downfall of the American economy? Just exactly who/what are the lobbyists? For real?
Has anyone said anything at all about the involved lobbyists hidden in the background, their contracted influence via bribes, and their takeaway pay from this Great American Robbery? Oh yeah, including their takeaway bonuses from their clients? Moreover, Good Gawk! — did the these lobbyists even destroy their own clients? Tell us which lobbyists paved the way for less or no regulations in the financial markets?

McCain/Palin: Accessories to Possible Assassination

Photo: AP
Everyone that will read this probably knows that I am obviously an Obama fan, and may think this is just another smear tactic to make the GOP’ers look bad (ad hominem), but this does not take a large logical leap to conclude. Sarah Palin and John McCain are not doing anything to curve the chanting of threats to Obama’s political reputation, health, life and his families lives.
If you are clueless as to what I am writing about, please go here to watch someone in the crowd calling Obama a “terrorist!”, here to watch a similar act, except the operative word is “treason” and last but not least, here where someone actually hollers “Kill Him!”.

An Open Letter to Barack Obama

Dear Senator Obama,
Realizing that the economy needs be bailed out is not a difficult observation, but how do we control this economic entropy without just delaying it’s inevitable implosion? It seems our economy will eventually collapse, and the most important question is how badly will the collapse be. I will not pretend to know the intricacies of how our economy operates, but I will admit this “bailout” has an appearance that is mostly geared towards benefiting conglomerate fat cats, rewarding unethical business practices, delaying the inevitable, propping up our economy for a more disastrous fall and weakening the USD even further.
I understand that if we allow these “conglomerates” to go down, the rest of us will follow as we are “all in bed together”. What I don’t understand, or at least have not heard, is how my government is working towards a policy that will not only prevent this from happening again in the future, but implementing accountability where due, and infusing oversight where the was none before.

No! There Are Actually Two Bailouts! One Passed

Snipped from AP.Google.com.
While you are worried about the $700 billion price tag for bailing out our economy, Congress just easily passed $612 billion to be sent to cover defense spending for the FAILED Iraq war (I don’t care that the surged worked, we have still failed the original mission), and the FAILED Afghanistan War (failed because our focus is continually diverted to the Iraq war). So, in reality, we have two bailouts. Our government has to bailout Bush, and his Bushites with their Iraq War débâcle, and our economy because of … um, could it be? Bush, and his Bushites? Ding, ding, ding! Tell them what they have one Johnny. Yes, it is Bush’s fault, maybe not entirely, but he has had a major hand in his deregulation of big business initiative since he took office.

A Perspective on Being Human from an Autistic

Photo: Jessica Dimmock
I am always interested in different perspectives on what it means to be human, especially when they come from sources that are vastly different than your average Joe Sixpack. So, when I cam across a video of an autistic that makes an amazingly successful attempt at explaining what it is like to have autism, and how she views her life submerged in a sea of “normal” people, I was absolutely astounded. Here is an angle that I have never heard before, so I thought I would share this experience with all of you.

“A Note To Bill Clinton”

Snipped from HuffingtonPost.com.
God damn it Bill and Hillary. I mean really. This isn’t the high school prom, and Hillary wasn’t supposed to be Prom Queen. She lost. Get over it! Let’s move on. Yet, I don’t think they will, and I too believe there is a slight motivation to see McCain win, so that Hillary can have a chance in 2012 (the end of the world! According to some.) Am I the only one that notices how Hillary is still campaigning, and Bill can’t say Obama’s name to save his life?
