Shareholders Get Serious With ExxonMobile

Rex Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil,
all smiles during a news conference.

Tillerson is caught channeling Rumsfeld during shareholder’s meeting.
At the ExxonMobile meeting last week, Rex Tillerson, CEO, had some very confusing things to say about what the company’s position is on global warming, or global climate change as everyone is fond of now calling it. What is particularly appalling is Tillerson’s overt lack of concern for the environment in which he rambles on about things we know we know, things we know we don’t know and things we don’t know we don’t know. I would call this a “Rumsfeldian moment” since Donald Rumsfeld was famous for quoting nearly the exact same thing when asked about the Iraq war. It’s amazing what these two people have in common. If you would like to see the video of the two spouting off in response to difficult questions, we have included it at the end of this article for you to see for yourself.

Geico’s Cavemen Coming to ABC This Fall

The infamous Geico Caveman.
Yes, that’s right. ABC is capitalizing on the popularity of the Geico cavemen ads and is spinning off on its own “Cavemen” sitcom series this fall.
So you’ll get to see your favorites, Nick Kroll and Dash Mihok, play the cavemen you have come to love. It’s a gamble, but ABC is betting that you want to know more about the antics of cavemen in the modern, fast-paced, bigoted world of today. Opps, did I say bigoted? Well, it’s not exactly a slip of the tongue. Guess what the creators of the show are going for?

Corporate Hall of Shame — Vote Today! w/Video
We all have heard about the corporate abuses and scandals that have been occurring under our wonderful pro-business Republican leadership. They are enough to make a sane person nauseous, and an American taxpayer downright sick. As outlined by alternet.org, Filmmaker Robert Greenwald, director of Iraq for Sale: the War Profiteers, recently testified before Congress about corporate conduct in Iraq. What he detailed in excruciating detail included “price-gouging, out-and-out ripoffs, incomplete projects, giving dirty drinking water to U.S. troops in the field, charging the government for gas shipments that were never made, putting troops’ lives at risk guarding empty trucks on dangerous convoys in order to make a buck and a dozen other egregious offenses on the backs of U.S. taxpayers”. You are not going to believe what a prominent Republican Representative said in response to Greenwald’s presentation…

Fox News’ GOP Debate & Controversial Ron Paul w/Video
Here is my run-down of the Republican presidential debate hosted by Fox News on May, 15, 2007. I hope this will help you in your quest for finding the right candidate to support. And please, I would love to hear your viewpoints as well, so feel free to leave your opinion about all the drama that unrolled during the first exciting GOP debate for this year.

VIDEO — QubeTV: The Conservatives’ Choice for Video
Hopefully, you remember my Wikipedia versus Conservapedia article. With that in mind, you won’t believe what the fanatical right is doing now. Well, they are sick of the liberal bias of reality based YouTube, and they are now creating their own user video community — QubeTV. For your benefit, I browsed through the 12 pages of mostly Fox News videos and Republican politicians, so you don’t have to. Wow, talk about excitement! I will take that over all the humorous and entertaining videos of YouTube any day [sarcasm].

Dick Morris: Soldiers Are Like Human Shields, Convenient & Sacrificial!
Monday night, right-wing pundit Dick Morris opens his mouth on the Hannity & Colmes show and what comes out just shocked the hell out of me. Morris said that we need to keep our soldiers in Iraq “to give the terrorists the opportunity to kill more Americans, which they really like… so they don’t have to come to Wall Street to kill [us].” He continued by saying if they can do it around the corner, it will keep them from attacking us, and convenience is a big factor when you are a terrorist. Am I the only one that is completely ashamed of living in the same country as Dick Morris? Morris is insinuating we just rename the Iraqi project to Operation Human Shield.

VIDEO — Who Are We Trying to Become?
All I can say is WOW! This just really conveys a monstrous amount of beliefs about our society without saying one word. I love how it uses an “artificial intelligence” to speak out about our very human problem. Absolutely, eloquently, beautifully done. My question to you is what came first — the problematic empty viewer that is in need of something to feel connected, or is it the media that created the impressionable viewer to follow what it declares is “right”? Before I say my piece, I would like to hear yours. In fact, just write the first thing that comes to mind after you watch this video. I am always interested in this debate about nature versus nurture.

Laughter Yoga… More Than Just Funny?!
We all have heard it said that laughter is the best medicine, but you may not know that laughter is also quite a good exercise. Laughter has been said to create many beneficial results such as strengthening the immune system, reducing stress and elevating endorphins — the “feel good” hormones. All of these beneficial results are similar to what one experiences with physical exercise, so now you may be able to experience all these benefits from a new laughter yoga. Furthermore, the good news for those who don’t like to exercise, this could be a way to take advantage of this much unused health benefit.

VIDEO — Mrs. Bush: “No One Suffers More Than Us”
When Laura Bush was on the Today Show, she was asked by Anne Curry how she feels about the Iraq War. When Curry specifically mentioned suffering, Laura Bush wanted to make sure that America understood that no one suffers more than her and her husband. Wow, I did not know that life in the White House was so harsh. It must be worse than a war torn country suffering from constant fear, little money, little food, constant oppression and acts of violence for her to say that… right? Or, maybe she is just as delusional as her mindless, soulless husband George W. Bush.

VIDEO — The Cunning of Cuttlefish
It seems that Mother Nature put more thought into the intelligence of its creatures than we give her credit for. This creature may be ugly, but it ain’t dumb. And, it appears that cuttlefish may have more than their share of smarts. The cuttlefish is one of the strangest of the ocean creatures with green blood and three hearts. It is the largest brain-to-weight ratio of all invertebrates. Being that they can’t swim very fast and can’t maneuver as quickly as other fish, they need cunning to keep them alive. And, with millions of years of evolution, they attained some pretty neat tools such as the ability to change color and shape instantly or hypnotizing its prey.
