Corporate Email Gone Wild
Now here’s something I can really relate to — corporate e-mails. Having been a Vice President for a $400 million dollar nationwide company, qualifies me to comment on the failure in communication at the corporate level. We can all marvel at the efficiency and expediency of email. Wow, what a vast improvement over the “Memo” — you know the hard copy communication device called “interoffice mail”. This, of course, was the descendant of the telephone which was cumbersome since you actually had to pick it up and talk to someone. Ahhh, but the e-mail — now that’s something you could really get lost in. It’s kind of like video games but more interactive.

Are Women Taught to be Leaders in Our Society?
As I was writing the article “Americans Are Neurotic Dogs Without an Alpha”, I realized that women are not taught to be leaders in today’s society. Why? As someone who is all about empowerment, this simple, little question was bothering me. When I think of the rare women in leadership positions today, I think of women that are overbearing, manipulative and even well… bitchy. I am not being judgmental, I am just being observant, and I definitely don’t agree with the double standard either. Men that act the same are just as bad.

Americans Are Neurotic Dogs Without an Alpha
Has anyone ever studied the behavior of pack animals when they are missing their alpha leader? Has anyone ever watched Caesar Milan when he is coaching dog owners into being an alpha leader instead of an omega follower, or Meerkat Manor and the cute animal with its strong communal group? These are really interesting observations and they may have more to do with humans than we think.
Nearly all social organisms have some type of leader, usually called an alpha, that keeps the pack or communal group together and functioning efficiently.

What Effects Will Technology Have On The ‘Community’?
We, as a global organism, are experiencing the greatest rate of change this world has ever seen. Ever since the industrial revolution, we have seen everything from humans taking flight, man landing on the Moon, creation of quantum mechanics, and the invention of the Internet. All this within about a hundred years of time. That amount of extrinsic evolution would have normally taken hundreds, if not thousands of years. The incredible rate of environmental (non-natural) change we are experiencing has a profound affect on how we function as a global and local community, but what are the consequences?

Why Interracial Sex Will Save Humanity!
I guess I got your attention, as this can be quite the controversial topic. If you are asking yourself, “Why in the hell would someone say such a crazy thing?” Then hold on to your britches, because it will be a crazy ride. I bring this issue up because of a documentary I saw a while back (can’t remember the name of it though), and then saw a rerun of interracial couples on Tyra and it reminded me of the earlier documentary. Yes, the Tyra Banks show. But, she brought up a good question. Are we still biased against dating or marrying outside of our race and why?

Virtual Vandalism on John Edward’s ‘Second Life’ Campaign Headquarters
I wrote a very recent article regarding whether the internet has gone too far in simulating real life. Well, today it was reported that John Edward’s “Second Life” campaign headquarters was vandalized. Has the internet gone too far? Well, it wasn’t so much that it was vandalized, it’s how vicious the attack was. According to a post on Edward’s official blog, shortly before midnight on Monday, Feb. 26th, a group of Republican “Second Life” users with “Bush ‘08″ tags, plastered the area with Marxist/Lenninist posters and slogans, photoshopped a picture of Edward’s in blackface spewing obscentities and obscenity-laden verbal attacks of Democrats in general and Edward’s in particular. But it gets even crazier…

Will Newsvine Make MySpace and Digg Obsolete?
What? MySpace and Digg Rock! … Right? Well, in my opinion, this belief could not be farther from the truth. Yep, I said it; MySpace and Digg Suck! If I haven’t pissed you off by now, and you are still here, let me explain.
In its youth, MySpace served its purpose. It was one of the great founders of the Social Networking Web 2.0 style sites and opened up a whole world of interaction and socialization that man had never experienced.

Are Illegal Immigrants America’s Slave Labor?
When you hear about the highly publicized raids on employers who hire illegal immigrants, you think…ahhh, the government is finally doing something about it. But what are they really doing? When you consider that there could be as many as 20 million illegal immigrants making up the “underground labor force”, how could we possibly make a dent in this? With 1,200 arrested over a 10 month investigation — at this rate, it would be the next century before we could round up all the undocumented workers.

Online Funerals: Has The Internet Gone Too Far?
I guess in the world of the internet anything is possible, but “funerals online”? I would not have thought that anything as personal as a funeral would ever work on the internet. But it is and is steadily growing. There is funeralcast.com, and World Wide Cemetery (www.cemetery.org) which both offer online webcast of services. And, here’s the most outrageous internet offering… there is a website called SeeMeRot.com that purports to offer a “coffin cam”. It seems it’s a hoax, but someone came up with the idea. And, with the way our society seems to focus on the macabre, it could happen. The new development though on the web, in addition to the webcast of services, is a service that offers a whole new creative way to deal with the departed.

MySpace: American (Western) Influence Poisoning Japan, Again!
America is toxic, poisonous and ruinous to Japan’s great and wonderful culture. How many times do we have to spread our “democracy” or “increase our market shares” until we learn to stop fuc*ing up other cultures and countries? Why can’t we just realize that what we have here is enough, and there is no reason what-so-ever to commit “breaking and entering” into other governments, economies and social structures of third party countries. Where am I going with this? MySpace, a massive social site that is a cultural phenomenon here in America, is going to expand into the Japanese market to grow its market share and try to monopolize the world market to leave room for no one. As if the $327 Million dollar projected worth was not enough, they want more!
