Feds Lend Tesla $465 Milllion

Back in Feb. of 2007, Blog4Brains.com reported on a car company that is doing some radical things with the electric car. Well, it seems Tesla Motors caught the attention of someone else as well. Hopefully, this government investment will encourage more innovation in this country. Plus, if Tesla can use this money wisely and improve efficiency and output, they could lower the cost of this car and widen its market.

The Obama Administration will lend Tesla Motors $465 million to build an electric sedan and the battery packs needed to propel it. It’s one of three loans totaling almost $8 billion that the Department of Energy awarded today to spur the development of fuel-efficient vehicles.
