Cheney Caught on Tape Critical of Iraq Occupation
Okay guys, I just couldn’t believe this video. I caught it on YouTube. It is Dick Cheney explaining why when he was Secretary of Defense, he and Bush Senior, didn’t take Saddam out. It is amazing to hear Cheney talk about all the dire consequences if we invaded Baghdad at the height of the Gulf War. Now to hear him say that the Iraq War was not a mistake but the best decision we could have made, is unbelievable. Talk about a flip flop. Every dire thing that he predicted would happen in Iraq if we took out Saddam has come true. Watch the video. You won’t believe it! Here is the link: Cheney Video

The problem as I see it is that Cheney should not have changed speech writers.
Yea Stan. This administration doesn’t know if it’s coming or going in the foreign policy area.
I often times wonder what our world would have been like had we not tried to play global cop. Maybe we would be viewed like Switzerland and everyone would have just left us alone. What a wonderful place this would be then.
Then you get presidents in power who think they can control the world such as Bush and Co. who once said that they create the reality of the world. Ha! Is that laughable. When will we ever learn?
9/11 was a good reason to flip flop. can we stop the propaganda and really dicuss what is at hand. is it worth military action and loss of life for the possibility of a democratic and prosperous iraq influencing the whole middle east. terrorism will happen, but would it be better to have domestic terrorism like that of columbine, rather than organized terrorism from the archaic civilizations of the middle east, which one day could destroy whole cities if not the whole earth? loss of the life of 1 soldier is bad, but loss of life occurs in war and peace. should we not have a fighting chance? it wasn’t long ago that japan bombed pearl harbor. look at japan now. think about it. the war in iraq is as important as the fighting the global warming of today or the coming ice age of the 1970s.
I’m not sure I understand your position on the Iraq war. Are you saying we should stay because it’s important?
And as far as flip flopping on Iraq was justified by 9/11, they had nothing to do with 9/11…don’t understand that logic.
