If you’re like me, you have become completely frustrated with Congress’s impotence in regards to anything that has to remotely involve doing what’s right, getting the truth or changing direction in Iraq. What we have seen lately is a huge surge but not in troops but in untruths. With Gonzo’s latest testimony in Congress, is there no end to this insult to justice? But wait, we have the Congress to right these wrongs. After all, Congress can make sure everyone tells the truth when under oath because they have the power of the “contempt” charge. As we all know, whenever someone lies under oath, the wheels of justice start turning to expose the liar and enforce accountability. So, realizing their power, Congress is filing contempt charges all over the place against the lying bastards. But wait, is Congress actually doing something? That’s not what’s really going on, is it?

With a Congress who has been proven to be lapdog to Bush for the past 6 years and Democrats who only want to make a point, justice is not only blind but impotent, or shall I say, since Lady Justice would not be impotent–hog tied. So Congress, with the pathetic Democrats’ forays into the field of battle and the Republican gladiators obstructing at every turn, is going nowhere. In order to ease the mounting tension of all this frustration, I have always turned to Jon Stewart for relief. Jon never disappoints in his ability to “make fun” of all the ridiculous political shenanigans. Thank God for Jon Stewart!

On one of his recent shows, Jon elaborates on the efforts of the Democrats in finally growing the “balls” to do something, even though it really doesn’t “do” anything. He quotes Senator Patrick Leahy as the “big baller of this nutty bunch”. Having detected that our readers may be as frustrated as I am about the current pitiful state of affairs, I am attaching below an article that includes a couple of videos from Jon’s show in which he takes aim at Democrats and the unending “contempt” game that is going on in Washington. So, take a break, sit back, and laugh at just how crazy all this really is.
