What The White House Doesn’t Want You To Know: Part I

whitehousenight.jpgAnyone who has observed the infamously stubborn and resolute Bush defending his rampant militaristic stance on the Iraq War, ignoring the American public will and the world, knows that something is not right with this man. His behavior reminds me of John Belushi and Dan Akroyd in the Blues Brothers wherein they proclaim they are on a “Mission From God”. The same frenetic and unstoppable behavior of these two actors is startlingly similar to Bush’s behavior. Could Bush feel that he too is on a mission from God? You may be surprised by what is being said in private meetings with Bush and what is behind the secret Neocon agenda that the White House doesn’t want you to know that just may lead you to this conclusion.

In order to understand the mindset of Bush, you have to understand these two things; what motivates the man, and who influences the man. Then, after understanding that, you will be better able to discern how we have gotten in the mess we are in today by what has been the effect of this Bush debacle, so in Part I, we will look at what motivates Bush; Part II will deal with the extensive influence the Neocon elite had on Bush; and Part III will reveal the disastrous results of a misguided radical conservative strategy on America.

From information that has been written about his private conversations with colleagues and associates, we come to learn of Bush as a man who thinks of himself as destined to be President because he was “called” by God. This is a man according to Hugh Urban, a professor of comparative religion at Ohio State University, who says…

On the one hand, this is arguably the most outspokenly religious president in U.S. history, a man who claims not only to have been saved, but called by God to lead our country. Religious conviction informs virtually every aspect of his presidency, from his domestic Faith-based Initiative to his equally faith-based foreign policy announced in a “crusade” against the “Axis of Evil” and a promise to bring freedom as a “gift from the Almighty” to benighted regions of the world like Iraq. Indeed, much of Bush’s success in the last two elections has been credited to his image as a man of sincere faith, straightforward honesty and moral conviction. Yet on the other hand, this is also by many accounts the most secretive administration in U.S.

To wit, here are some examples of Bush quotes reported by Urban that reveal the interior of a mind beset with a religious mission of a grand and classic biblical struggle of good against evil:

Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success…Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists… The course of this conflict is not known, yet its outcome is certain. Freedom and fear, justice and cruelty, have always been at war, and we know that God is not neutral between them.

When asked what argument he would give to gain entry to heaven: I know we’re all sinners, but I’ve accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior.

I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can’t explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen… I know it won’t be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it.





Bush was also quoted by Irwin Stelzer who was an attendant at a literary luncheon with other Neocon intellectuals, when asked how he handled the pressure, he said that “he just didn’t feel any”. This left the guests to surmise that he didn’t feel any because of his calm conviction of a God mandated objective in his fight of good against evil.

Author and veteran Middle East journalist Dilip Hiro has written a trilogy of booksSecrets and Lies: Operation on Iraq and Iran which are considered some of the most definitive histories of the wars in the Persian Gulf. He quoted in one of his books, Secrets and Lies, that on June 4, 2003, President Bush confided to Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbasd, “God told me to strike at al-Qaeda and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did”.

Michael Novak of the American Enterprise Instituted also recalled Bush saying, “I want to have my conscience clear with Him. Then it doesn’t matter so much what others think.”

Well, this last quote certainly explains a lot to the American people. As evidenced by Bush’s own statements, nothing else matters — not the disapproval of the American people or Congress nor the rising anti-Americanism around the world. This man is on a mission, one for which is unquestioned and unstoppable and what is motivating him is abundantly clear and unmistakable. This is the classic biblical confrontation of good against evil being led by a God-emboldened narcissist, who is divorced from reality and easy to manipulate. He feels compelled to do what is right by God under a God-mandated, objective reality.

But whose reality is this anyway? Is this perceived reality of Bush ripe for exploitation by others who see a wide open opportunity to influence the path of the leader of the free world? Well, that leads us to Part II of this article which has to do with who is influencing the man, and what their secret agenda is. And, in Part III, we will delve into how it has gotten us to where we are today. See you then.
