The Neocon Test

reagan.jpgI caught a list of True/False questions on the Huffington Post that Marty Kaplan put together to see if you are smarter than a Neocon. I got to thinking about this and figured that first you probably want to know if you are one. So, I put together a test to see if you qualify as a Neocon. If you answer 12 out of the 15 questions “yes”, then I’m sorry to break the news to you but you are a Neocon.

1. When debating, do you find yourself interrupting anyone that opposes your ideology because you are absolutely certain that you are right, and anything the other is saying is inconsequential?

2. Do you base your arguments on how you personally feel about the issue rather than on evidence provided?

3. Do you believe the world is in need of democracy, and it’s our duty to make sure they get it whether they think they need it or not?

4. Do you believe Al-Qaeda in Iraq was responsible for 9/11, and also believe we were innocent victims in the attack?

5. Do you believe Sadaam Hussein/Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and a delivery system of balsa wood gliders to deliver them to U.S. soil?

6. Do you believe that if we don’t fight the terrorists there, we will fight them here?

7. Do you think torture is an effective and a needed way of obtaining quality intelligence?

8. Do you believe that the President should be able to act outside the law during times of war?

9. Do you believe America is the world leader in morality and should be the provider of it as well?

10. Do you believe we need to use Christianity as our nation’s moral compass?

11. Do you believe in subverting the Constitution and civil rights for the sake of the fight on global terror?

12. Do you believe we are winning the war on global terror?

13. Do you believe the only way to lessen global terrorism is by military action?

14. Do you believe globalization — exportation of technology, workforce, manufacturing and information — has had a positive effect on our population as a whole?

15. Do you believe by focusing the majority of politics — giving assistance, tax breaks and allowing legal flexibility for the benefit of the major conglomerate corporations, that the civilian population will end up collecting the benefit?
