Top Ten Reasons Why Republicans Suck!

dick_cheney.jpgThis is my list of reasons why Republicans just plain suck. I have a deep seated disgust with what is happening to America and, in particular, who is blocking Congress and this nation from moving forward. Who am I referring to? You guessed it — the ‘Neo-con’ men, or so called Republican Party. This is just my way of releasing the blow-off valve, so watch out for the burns!

10. The covering of Lady Justice by Asscroft… yes, I said Asscroft!

No longer will US Attorney General John Ashcroft appear in public with a semi-nude statue towering above him.

The US Justice Department has spent $8,000 on curtains to hide the statue from the cameras. - BBC News.com

9. Global Warming… ha… shut up and enjoy the warmer weather!

“As Gore promotes global-warming movie, College Republicans ridicule the movie with Global Warming Beach Parties…”

Republicans run a “Global Cooling” Snow Cone Stand.

The Oklahoma University College Republicans gave out free snow cones to students for an event they called “Global Cooling Day.” - Wall Street Journal

8. No Accountability

Secret prisons, fake intelligence of non-existent WMDs, overseas kidnapping charges against secret CIA agents, torturing of innocent people, shooting people in the face… um… (it’s top secret, so I can’t talk about it).

7. UN? Oh, United Nations? Who are they to tell us what to do!

The Institute for Policy Studies published a report analyzing what it called the “arm-twisting offensive” by the United States government to get nations to support it. Although President Bush described nations supporting him as the “coalition of the willing”, the report concluded that it was more accurately described as a “coalition of the coerced.” According to the report, most nations supporting Bush “were recruited through coercion, bullying, and bribery.” - Wikipedia.com

6. Abolishment of Human Rights — Torture? We don’t torture, its just debriefing!

The practice [waterboarding*] garnered renewed attention and notoriety in September 2006, when reports charged that the Bush administration had authorized its use in the interrogations of U.S. War on Terrorism detainees. Though the Bush administration has never formally acknowledged its use, Vice President Dick Cheney told an interviewer that he did not believe “a dunk in water” to be a form of torture but rather a “very important tool” for use in interrogations… - Wikipedia.com

*Waterboarding: a torture technique that consists of immobilizing an individual and pouring water over his face to simulate drowning, which produces a severe gag reflex, making the subject believe his death is imminent while ideally not causing permanent physical damage.- Wikipedia.com

5. Commercialism and materialism

The U.S. debt is soaring, our trade deficit is mounting, we are at war for “cooked up” reasons, soldiers are dying, the whole world hates the US, and what does the Bush Administration recommend? Go shopping, it’s therapeutic. Here is the actual transcript from one of his speeches: “As we work with Congress in the coming year to chart a new course in Iraq and strengthen our military to meet the challenges of the 21st century, we must also work together to achieve important goals for the American people here at home. This work begins with keeping our economy growing. … And I encourage you all to go shopping more. - thinkprogress.com”

4. Dick Cheney, the man, the mystery, the devil.

Multiple DWI arrests, the good old Halliburton relationship (2005, Cheney’s reported gross income: $8.82 million), hand in helping “cook” the Niger and Iraq uranium lie, starting the Iraq War, CIA leaks and the Scooter Libby Trial, shooting people in the face and getting away with no consequences and, daughter, I don’t have a daughter — gay people are evil!

And when asked about the criticism of him and the administration in how to move forward in the Iraq war…”I’m the Vice President and they’re not.”

3. The whole world hates us!

Nearly two-thirds of respondents to an international poll for the BBC say they have an unfavorable opinion of George W. Bush.

[When] Asked who is the more dangerous to world peace and stability, the United States was rated higher than al-Qaeda by respondents in both Jordan (71%) and Indonesia (66%).

America was also rated more dangerous than two countries considered as “rogue states” by Washington.

It [America] was rated more dangerous than Iran, by people in Jordan, Indonesia, Russia, South Korea and Brazil, and more dangerous than Syria by respondents in all the countries, except for Australia, Israel and the United States.

2. The Iraq War

Iraq war time line: Investigate Iraq over misinformation concerning WMDs, no WMDs found, 11 out of 19 UN countries are arguing against US waging war on Iraq, US coerces 4 countries to support the war calling it the “Coalition of the Willing”, War started on Iraq, Saddam taken out, Mission Accomplished on aircraft carrier, Iraq insurgency expands, US occupation government installed, increasing instability and renewed fighting, Al-Askari shrine bombing and Sunni-Shia fighting, outbreak of civil war, permanent Iraqi Government takes power, increased sectarian violence, Iraq Study Group report finished then ignored and Saddam’s shoddy, shameful execution and now 5 years later and an estimated 654,965 total casualties, we have what? A less stable Middle East!

1. Our wasted economy!

“As of September 29, 2006, over $379 Billion dollars has been allocated by the U.S. Congress for the Iraq war. Over $360 Billion* has been spent as of January 22, 2007. - Wikipedia.com” The forecast for the total spending for this war may top out at as high as $2 Trillion dollars before it’s all said and done.

With the Neo-cons’ focus on the military industrial complex and big corporate interests, there is an ever expanding wedge between the rich and the poor. While Republicans promote huge military budgets and big corporate interests, oil profits soar, CEO salaries surge, corporate conglomerates proliferate, and all the while there is a war being waged on the middle class. The results are that locally owned businesses are faltering, average wages are declining, health benefits are disappearing, pension plans are being stolen, the environment is being raped…and the list goes on.

*If you want to see the real-time rising cost of this war, go to this webpage and you can see the dollars ticking away, second by nauseating second.

Well, there is my Top Ten. What would you put in your top ten? Leave a comment below with your top reasons why the Republicans suck. I’d love to hear them.

well lets just start first off in saying that anyone who would vote for an idiotic fuck up like Obama should go ahead and stop talking as of now. You vote for a man who has never run a business in his life, doesn't even have full american credentials (?), and didn't even take an oath on the bible (muslim party? id rather not get into that). He is all sunshine with no meat. Tax the rich give it to the poor. America is based off free enterprise. Why should guy 1, who works his balls off to earn $500,00.00/yr have to give his money to guy 2 who sits on his ass and shoots up all day because hes to lazy to get a job. Its like feeding a stray animal, metaphorically speaking. Obama has accomplished absolutely nothing and has been at large a failure, like we knew he would. Hes managed to concoct an absolute epic fail as a healthcare bill (which he ran his campaign on) but as of now has totally given up on it. i guess he changed his mind? hmm. oh wait arent all the troops supposed to be out of Iraq by now? oh wait..we sent more. i guess he changed his mind? cash for clunkers..great idea right? wrong. again an eoic failure. Stimulus package, that'll help the economy right? again, wrong. and to top it all off..OBAMA TRUELLY HAS HAD CONNECTIONS WITH TERRORIST:
Remember when Obama and liberal Left went on a campaign of sexist counter-attacks when Alaska Governor Sarah Palin accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists"? They weren't hopping mad because Palin was lying; they reacted in the particular way that they did because they knew that she was telling the truth. Obama has closely associated himself with too many significant figures who are-if not actual bona fide terrorists are at the very least bad people who should not be influencing the president of the United States, these individuals include: Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis, William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger (and by extension, Louis Farrakhan), ACORN, Kenyan P.M. Raila Odinga, Tony Rezko, disgraced Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich and the Chicago corruptocracy. Despite the public criticism that George W. Bush received as president he never possessed such a motley crew of associates. Bush's crime, according to his Leftist detractors, is that his friends (not even all) were rich, they were essentially good capitalist. What is wrong with being a capitalist in the U.S.A., apparently nouthing unless your in the Obama administration, to a Leftist, having/making money is equivalent to being evil incarnate.
And as one fellow said "when republicans rule there is a scandal". that is absolute bullshit and all you all have to fall back on. As if the Clinton's aren't "Scandalous" as i might say. Oh let us not forget about the Kennedy's either. All a bunch of slimeballs. I wont even get into the clinton's insider trading when they killed a guy. and the kennedy's too. Its okay, charlie manson didn't kill anyone either.
  • Yes, Hal, you are right! Thanks for coming in here and setting us all straight. LOL.

I hope you didn't put too much effort into that comment. Unless you meant it to be comical. Nearly every sentence in your above comment is regurgitated, mindless, republican rhetoric. If you were going to bash Obama, you could have. Unfortunately, you are not even paying attention enough to know how to do it right.

None of it even bothers me anymore. I have come to the realization that for us to have brilliant people in the world that save lives and create a brighter future, we have to have people like you to offer the antithesis of of such valiance.

Take care Hal, and try to keep your verbal diarrhea in your mouth next time. It took me hours to clean it up over here.

Republicans...haw, haw, haw! Your typical Republican is a small business owner that is a scamming scumbag that is raking in millions of dollars a year while employing a bunch of illegal immigrants at substandard wages and bitching constantly about taxes and how our moral fiber is going down the toilet. Then they go on about how Reagan was a good man and blah, blah, blah! Democrats suck too, but Republicans suck much worse! Liars, hypocrites and assholes=Republicans! Remember Nixon?

  • 1. They share the location of the secret VP bunker

    Um, okay.

    2. They worry more about the NCAA March Madness than fixing the ‘problems created by the Bush administration’

    What?

    3. They bail out corrupted corporations so the top execs can have extra money to find a new job, rather than firing them and let them enjoy life on the streets

I will give you that one, but Bush Jr. did it as well at the end of his reign. Remember the first half of the 700 billion for the banks? Don't forget that one.

    4. They blast Sarah Palin on her expensive wardrobes, but praise Michelle Obama’son her fantastic ’sense of style’ (Come on, lets see how much money was invested on her)

I don't think you can actually blame the "democrats" on that one. That was more the media and the pundits.

    5. Instead of FOX, Hannity and O’reilly they have NBC, CNN and almost every nimwitted [sic] celebrity

Okay, but how does that make them suck? Just because some nitwit sides with you doesn't make you a nitwit. I no many nitwits that side with Jesus or God. Does that make Jesus or God a nitwit?

    6. They throw a ‘pissy fit’ when the air force does not have the requested plane available for a vacation trip

Okay, not really sure about that one, so won't try to argue it.

    7. CIA is filled with a bunch of liars

What the heck does that have to do with democrats?

    8. They want gays to serve openly in the armed forces, but when directly asked if they would want their son/daughter serving next to one, they reply ‘no’

That's just plain old human hypocrisy, not democrat of republican.

    9. The detainees at Gitmo need and get better living conditions than the soldiers guarding them

Have you ever read the memos on what they do to "break" the detainees? I am sure you are not familiar with their living conditions. Plus, Gitmo rendition was a republican thing, not democrat.

    10. Why should hard-working wealthy people keep their money, when their are lazy people out there who get money for free by receiving welfare.

Okay, welfare is a democratic talking point, and I don't agree with some of its management, but living off welfare is not at all equal to a decent paying job.

Unfortunately, there are some great reasons why democrats suck, but I don't think you hit on any of them. Maybe I will do an article covering this next. Well, thanks for your spirited try, I enjoy the repartee.

10 reasons why democrats are so great for this nation:

    1. They share the location of the secret VP bunker

    2. They worry more about the NCAA March Madness than fixing the 'problems created by the Bush administration'

These are 10 things off the top of my head. I believe that Democrats are seriously mored screwed up than Republicans ...

Republican politicians are like con men. They essentially want your vote so they can get into office and help the rich and big business by cutting taxes on the rich and their corporations. And how to con men do it? By distraction! Get those ignorant masses afraid that we are being invaded by Mexico or some country that doesn't have indoor plumbing might be building weapons of mass destruction. Republican's preach fear and people buy into it...WHY?!

While republicans claim to be very religious, they commit terrible crimes in conflict with the teachings of christianity and probably most religions. Religions are supposed to guide people toward decent behavior. Consider simply the ten commandments, not to mention the golden rule. The term "religious right republicans" should be changed to "deaf, blind and stupid formerly known as RRR." While I am not very religious myself, I try to comport myself as a good human being, still living by the rules I learned as a christian. I also changed many of my beliefs regarding heaven and hell. Now, I truly hope there is a hell so they can all burn there! People who cause so much grief should be made to atone for what they've done. And, we are just looking at the tip of the iceberg. Once Bush is out of the white house, imagine what else will be made public? Hold on to your seatbelts, folks!
