In a new marketing campaign for the hit late night cartoon series “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” caused, “Highways, bridges and a section of the Charles River were shut down and bomb squads were sent in before authorities declared the devices were harmless.”*
This morning, electronic devices were planted on bridges and other sections of the Boston area. Officials believing it may be a terroristic threat shut down all the associated bridges and highways to investigate. Bomb squads were sent in to discover that it was only an outdoor marketing campaign for the late night TV cartoon on Comedy Central.
“We regret that they were mistakenly thought to pose any danger,”* says the company responsible.
“It’s a hoax — and it’s not funny,”* said Gov. Deval Patrick before the objects were determined to be part of an ad campaign.
Who would have thought that a cartoon carton of french fries and a milkshake would be the next terror threat on our nation. Watch out!
