US/Mexico Border Fence Company Caught Hiring Illegal Immigrants

Well, if you believe the idiocy could not get any worse, you have sadly been mistaken. On NPR’s website today there is an article about a Californian fence company, The Golden State Fence Company, that was contracted to help construct the very same fence that is proposed to keep out its own working staff. That’s right, Golden State Fence was caught not once but twice for employing illegal immigrants from Mexico. Wow, is that ironic or what? I wonder how the illegal workers are viewing this fence that is symbolic of their illegal existence in the United States?

According to NPR’s article the company was audited in 1999 for an immigration check that found undocumented workers on its payroll. Upon a recent follow up, the company was found with the same illegal workers from the prior audit. Melvin Kay and Michael McLaughlin are facing a probable jail time for this offense. The government is recommending 6 months in jail.




The company’s wonderful attorney is saying that this proves that construction companies need a guest-workers program. Yea, that sounds better then hiring real Americans. What complete lunacy! How about all the less fortunate people start robbing banks. Once caught, they can say that this proves we need some type of bank robbing assistance for the needy.

So I just have one thing to say… What the F*^K!
