Where Has God Gone?
This article will address the ridiculous and the sublime in answering the above question. Let’s begin with the ‘ridiculous’. Have you ever sat in the stands of a football game and watched as the players rally around their coach and pray for victory? Or watched the riotous, reveling in the streets of radical Muslim nations chanting “God is Great” pronouncing Allah on their side? Or have you even considered the meaning of “holy war” itself? The implication with these activities is that God is somehow on someone’s side. This would also entail ‘knowing’ what God wants. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I have any inside knowledge of what God wants. And, it hasn’t been proven to me, one way or the other, that a ‘God’ even exists much less one who takes sides.

The Secret to Wealth and Abundance: Part III
In this article regarding wealth and abundance creation, I will talk about the most powerful creation tool of all and that is ‘intention’. The potential for practical uses of ‘intention’ comes from observations of our greatest athletes. In an article from the Jan. 07, Ode magazine, entitled “The Power of Intention”, the author takes a look at the incredible career of Muhammad Ali, former World Heavyweight Champion who utilized the power of intention to win fight after fight after fight. Ali practiced his art of intention by using mental rehearsals to hone his skills in preparation for the actual, physical fight. This is said to be the decisive element that separates the elite athlete from the ordinary competitor. In this regard, Ali was the ‘master of intention’. He used affirmations, visualization, and self-confirmations with perhaps the most well known being: “I am the greatest”. In his mind, and from the results of all his mental rehearsals, he was the greatest.

The Next Alternative Energy Source — You!
Have you ever thought about the amount of energy that is generated every time you take a step? Well, scientists have, and they are looking at harnessing this energy. What exactly is this energy? Let’s review some basic science — the ability to do work or the ability to move an object is called energy. Energy occurs in two primary states, potential and kinetic. Kinetic energy is the release of potential energy to create motion, ultimately to do work. An example of kinetic energy is the energy carried by wind or moving water. Kinetic energy also includes the energy to move your body such as the energy that allows you to walk generated from chemical reactions that provide energy. Chemical energy can be transformed into thermal energy, mechanical energy, and electrical energy.

Anti-War Petition Drafted by US Soldiers
I find it appalling and frankly negligent that no mainstream newsmedia is covering this story. But in Yahoo news, it was reported that 1,000 U.S. soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen, including dozens of officers, most of whom are active duty, have signed a petition to Congress to oppose the war in Iraq. They call it the Appeal for Redress which not since Vietnam has such a drastic measure been taken by our military personnel when about 1,300 active-duty military signed an open letter opposing the Vietnam war. I have yet to see anything on television or in print that headlines this story. I had to read it on Yahoo News and The Nation — not exactly mainstream media.

If you’re a woman, you cry five times a month or so. If you are a man, you cry about once every four weeks. I don’t know about you, but my eyes well up not only when I perceive something sad but whenever anyone else’s eyes well up. So what are we all crying about and why?
